Costanera Center is the tallest building in Chile (and South America as this was written in 2016), and on its top it has the tallest viewpoint in South America, where you can see the whole city in 360º degrees.
I had the privilege to work in Sky Costanera App, which was created by Ilógica Agency and was given the task to recreate the city’s landscape (from that point of view, 300 meters above ground level) in 4 different years: 1541 (foundation of Santiago) 1810 (when Chile got its independence), 1945 and 1982.
It was an amazing opportunity to learn more about my hometown and to contribute to the city’s identity and cultural baggage.
I had a lot of help from Ilógica in the investigation to make these graphics, also visited a lot of museums, did research online, national library, maps and asked older folks what they remembered of the city in their early years.
In order to do these graphics I did photo retouching, 3d, drone photography, montage and matte painting.
