The majority of the musicians in Chile are independent, nevertheless, local bands and artists have been making good quality music but still lacked radio space and venues.
This is why, Ballantine’s created Ballantine’s Records, a label to support local musicians. Their first action was to openly support a law that gave local musicians more space in radios (which was taken by foreign bands) and then launched the label, with it’s own house in a classic neighborhood downtown. The house had 3 rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and an open space with a Ballantine’s Bar and a stage.
They started making shows each week, inviting bands to record songs, videos and play live.
I worked in the creation of the brand, designing the logo, the website and the visual aspects of the communication, througout digital and traditional media.
